Shoot the Waters are a three-piece Irish Folk/Trad Group who formed in October 2022. Steeped in the tradition of Irish music, the band have decades of performing experience between them. Their sound is described as being true to the tradition and infused with contemporary elements.

Mark has been performing Irish music for 10+ years with various bands. His formative influences include The Dubliners and The Fureys. Mark has been obsessed with Irish music from a young age and enjoys performing regularly with Shoot the Waters.
Caoimhe is a classically trained violinist in the Suzuki method. She draws inspiration from the playing of Liz Carroll and David Doocey. Caoimhe brings a versatility to the band due to her wide range of influences.
Multi-instrumentalist Davin adds a rich texture to the band’s sound with his dynamic playing of both the banjo and bouzouki. Davin also brings a blend of Americana inspired folk to the sound with his lively songs.
